What percentage of applicants will be admitted?

Answer: For Frobel Play School learners, no tests and interviews are required. However we do expect the parents to be aligned to the school’s philosophy of social service to the community, involvement of learners in hands-on work, and providing a strong foundation of values. Most learners of Frobel Play School, provided their parents support the school’s vision, will be admitted. For outside learners, seats are limited and we will assess the child to ensure his readiness to embrace our academic requirements.

Will siblings be guaranteed admission?

Answer: Siblings will have preference but no child is guaranteed admission.

What are the criteria for admission?

Answer: The most important assessment we make is the parents' alignment with our vision and philosophies. Parents need to understand that we focus on the child’s personality building, ethics and moral knowledge, as much as we do on academic excellence. We will also assess the child's progress in Frobel Play School. However, we are an inclusive school and no child will be discriminated against due to any learning disabilities or other special needs.

Can I apply for financial assistance for my child?

Answer: Yes, you may email us and receive the financial assistance form. You will need to attach many documents along with it so that we may assess your financial situation. Please do not attach any original documents as we cannot be responsible for their safety. Our financial assistance seats are limited and preference will be given to those with most dire financial needs. Your application for financial assistance will not hamper your child’s admission.

Can I pay the Admission fee (one time) in two installments?

Answer: Yes, you may discuss this option with the school management through our office. In case second installment is delayed, we may cancel your child’s admission and no amount will be refunded.

Is there a readmission fee?

Answer: There is no readmission fee. As long as the school continues to grow till O levels, your child’s admission to new class is guaranteed if he or she has met the academic criteria.

How will I interact with the school management or teachers?

Answer: After your child has been granted admission, you may call the office or send an email to make an appointment with our academic team. There are open days when you can meet the principal and the head of key stage/academic director without appointment also. For a detailed discussion about your child, we suggest that you get an appointment through school office or email the appropriate leader. All emails have been provided in the parents’ handbook. You can also email info@frobelacademy.com to get the relevant person’s information. Please send your phone number in email in case someone needs to talk to you before issuing an appointment.

Please give us 3 working days to receive a reply on email.

My child has learning disabilities. Is he or she eligible for admission?

Answer: We are proud to be an inclusive school. No child will be discriminated against due to learning disabilities. Please state clearly in the admission form the special needs of your child and provide any assessments done by outside therapists or doctors or educators. We have a SEN policy that allows for the inclusion of most children into mainstream classrooms and our special educators will discuss and make a plan with you based on your child’s specific needs. If your child has severe disabilities and cannot be integrated into a mainstream classroom, we will put you in touch with our partner Enrichment Center managed by Frobel Play School who will guide you towards the best path for your child.

Why does my child have so few books?

It's important for a child to learn appropriate to his or her age. We believe that most of the learning should take place in school and it should be enhanced by reinforcement activities or homework at home. Most of the project-based topics, through thematic units, will be taught in school. Most of the books will be kept in school as children will not be required to work on them at home. We will send appropriate homework whenever it is needed. Every reinforcement/homework worksheet will be explained to the child in class so that he/she can independently do at home. If you wish to see any of the books, you may take an appointment with the teacher to come see them, although we will show parents all the books during orientation.

Will the school have exams?

Every class will have written and oral assessment as well as project work that will contribute towards your child’s learning at school and his or her respective grade. We will not have written exams in primary section

Will my child need a private tutor?

We are responsible for the learning of your child in school. However some support needs to be given in school by parents. We have strong policy against our teachers giving tuition to Frobel Academy learners without the express knowledge of administration. Extra support classes will be offered periodically for children who require support. If, however, you feel that due to your personal constraints you are unable to give support to your child, please discuss your options with the principal and if she feels that it is in the best interest of the child then she would assign a teacher from the school who could tutor the child with proper permissions. There would be strong repercussions for an Academy teacher and parents of a child who have reached an agreement for tuition without written consent from the administration.
